Let’s start with introductions

Hey everyone! My name is Jenni. Let’s start with a little about me and what I’m looking to do here. I am a first time mom to a sweet little boy. He’s the greatest little person ever(who knew parenting would be so rewarding and challenging, fun and scary). Going into my pregnancy I knew everything, read all the books, went to classes, asked all the questions, but only about pregnancy and childbirth. Then on the night of March 20th I went into labor and thus ensued the LONGEST 24 hours of my life, all to bring my tiny bundle of joy into this world. The week following was hard, so much harder then I could have ever prepared for; an extended stay in the hospital and finding out just two days into breastfeeding he had severe lip and tongue tie and could no longer nurse. I was heartbroken but determined I wouldn’t give up. So I started exclusively pumping. What I didn’t realize was that this was only the beginning of a very long, long road with breastfeeding. So I’m here now to share my journey(which I’ve learned is so very common) and to hopefully help any future mamas who are struggling along the way. Sometimes all you need is just a little encouragement and someone to say hey I was there and I can tell you that I know it’s hard but it will get better(eventually).

I hope to see you around sometime, from one tired mama to another
